Session Types

2024-10-26

Residential Proxy supports both sticky and rotating session types.

Sticky Sessions

To select a sticky session type, navigate to Personal Center - Residential Proxy - Endpoint Generator Session Types section click Sticky Sessions.

This session type allows you to keep the same IP address for up to 90 minutes. You can manually set a custom duration in the Session Time section.

Once you establish the first connection with the sticky port, the IP will not change for your requests for the specified time.

The longer your session is, the greater the chance that the IP will rotate before the time you specify due to the last residential device going offline.

Rotating Sessions

To select a sticky session type, navigate to Personal Center - Residential Proxy - Endpoint Generator Session Types section click Rotating Sessions.

If you choose to rotate sessions, the endpoint will rotate the IP on each proxy request.

A new proxy IP is assigned each time the same or a different web page is loaded.
